ABSTRACT
Na busca de reorganizar seu sistema de saúde por meio de ações de promoção e proteção da saúde, prevenção de agravos, diagnóstico, tratamento, reabilitação e manutenção da saúde, Mato Grosso do Sul apresenta uma experiência exitosa no fortalecimento da atenção básica. O alicerce da experiência centra-se na aliança entre dois atores estratégicôs: COSEMS e Secretaria de Estadoda Saúde. As medidas adotadas - trabalho em equipe, mudança nos processos de trabalho, educação permanente e recursos financeiros próprios - propiciaram a adesão da totalidade dos municípios à Estratégia de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde, com um total de 425 equipes da Estratégia Saúde da Família em 100% dos municípios. O investimento próprio superior a 144 milhões de reais representa o compromisso do gestor estadual no fortalecimento da atenção basica.
The state of Mato Grosso do Sul presents a successful experiencein strengthening primary health care by seeking to reorganize its health system by means of health promotion and protection, injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and health maintenance actions. The fàundations of this experience are grounded on the alliance between two stakeholders: COSEMS and the Secretary of State fàr Health. The measures adopted, such as teamwork, change in work processes, continuous education and financial resources, enabled all the municipalities to adhere to the Community Health Workers Strategy, totalling 425 teams from the Family Health Strategy in 100% of the municipalities. The investment itself, worth over 144 million reais, represents the State administration's commitment to strengthening Primary Health Care.
